My Road To Becoming a vExpert - 2023

First of all, I assume many of you are thinking, WTF is a vExpert, I say that, as I know that was my first thought when I heard of it (along with vbeers, and vbrownbag). When I firt discovered the vExpert program, I assume (incorrectly) that it was a bunch of hardcore, VMware experts. I mean the title kind of gives it away.

As it turns out, my initial assumption was %100 incorrect. While many of the vExperts around the world are hardcore technologists (with a focus on VMware), the vExpert program is all about community, and sharing. At the end of the day, it is all about sharing VMware knowledge with others. So I thought, well, I run this (poorly maintained ) site so I can share my learnings with others, I would look into the program a little deeper. This was in late 2021, so we were all in lockdown (thanks COVID), and I had some time to research the program. After reading about the vExpert program from various blogs (VMware written, and a ton of third-party sites). I decided I wanted in! At that time, I had completely missed the application window,so I had to wait until applications opened the following year. The application window is only open for 1-2 months, so if you miss it, you are SOL,
