Preparing for AB-730 Exam, need some direction from recent test takers

Hi everyone,

I’m planning to take the Microsoft AI Business Professional (AB-730) exam and wanted some clarity before I start preparing seriously.

I’m a bit unsure about the focus of the exam. Is it more about AI concepts or business use cases? Also, do I need any technical background for this, or can a non-technical person manage it?

Would appreciate any guidance, especially from someone who has taken it recently.

Hey, I took the exam recently so I can share my experience.

It’s definitely more business-oriented than technical. You don’t need coding skills, but you should understand how AI can be applied to solve business problems. Most questions are scenario-based where you need to pick the best solution based on a business requirement.

Focus on understanding use cases, decision-making, and how AI adds value rather than going too deep into technical details.

That helps a lot. Were there any specific topics that showed up more than you expected? And what resources did you use for preparation?

Yes, topics like responsible AI, identifying the right AI solution, and aligning it with business goals came up quite often. Some questions also test your understanding of risks and governance.

For preparation, I used Microsoft learning paths, some case study-based content, and Study4Exam AB-730 practice questions. The AB-730 practice questions were especially helpful in getting used to how the exam presents scenarios.

Great, that gives me a clear direction. Thanks for the help!
